National Council of La Raza (NCLR)

April 2013

NCLR, the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States, works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. To achieve its mission, NCLR conducts applied research, policy analysis, and advocacy, providing a Latino perspective in five key areas—assets/investments, civil rights/immigration, education, employment and economic status, and health.

Multiple NCLR resources (articles, curricula, databases) are relevant to the topic of supporting young dual language learners, and may be found by searching this website. Sample titles include America’s Future: Latino Child Well-Being in Numbers and Trends, Early Childhood Education for the 21st Century: Linking Research, Language, and Culture, and Core Qualities for Successful Early Childhood Education (ECE) Programs.
