Infant and Maternal Morbidity and Mortality Community of Practice

The Infant and Maternal Morbidity and Mortality (RDIM) Community of Practice (CoP) will enrich your professional practice as you join in shared learning, application, and reflection with other state-level grantees while a designated facilitator keeps all 10-15 participants in the dialog. The conversation and session topics will be responsive to participants’ needsAlthough the CoP will be geared towards state grantees, the nature of local collaboratives’ approach to this work will be discussed and considered as an instrumental solution to reducing racial disparities in Infant and Maternal Morbidity and Mortality. 

Participation in the CoP is by invitation only. 

What will your state team gain from your involvement in the CoP? 

  • Learn how to interpret state data and apply a critical race equity lens in order to select appropriate and effective interventions. 
  • Evaluate existing state and local public policy, dedicated funding, access to programs and services, and general awareness of the issue and root causes in order to define a clear starting point.
  • Learn whom to work with and what pivotal system changes you need to make within your state and community to ensure better infant and maternal outcomes.
  • Learn about policies, promising practices, funding streams, and programs and services that are a good fit for your community.
