The Build Initiative: Innovative Philanthropy in Action

BUILD helps state leaders prepare young children aged birth to five to succeed by helping their families access high quality early learning, family and parenting support, early intervention for children with special needs and comprehensive health, mental health and nutritional services by:

• Delivering services and programs, including national and regional conferences, tailored in-state technical assistance, sponsored research and policy papers
   
• Partnering with seven states - Michigan, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Ohio, Washington, Illinois and New Jersey – and serving many other states and groups through strategic partnerships and conferences.
