Award Presentations

The BUILD Initiative in partnership with the National Center for Children in Poverty (NCCP) conducted a topical conference for multiple state teams focused on the intersection of health/mental health development and school readiness.  The conference took place in Denver, CO in late February, 2009.  As part of the activities, BUILD and NCCP were honored to present two awards.

Awards were presented to Zoe Nicholie for her vision, leadership and tireless work on behalf of children in Minnesota;  and to Jane Knitzer, a true pioneer, for her visionary leadership and deep commitment to the healthy development of America's children.
